It debuted at No 17 on Billboard Hot 200 and has sold more than 450,000 copies in the U.S. by the end of August 2009. Moreover, it was named the 5th best album of 2008 by Time and 56th Best Album of the Decade by Rolling Stone.
The band’s second full-length album, Contra, came in 2010 to critical acclaim. Modern Vampires of the City, Vampire Weekend’s third album was released in May of this year.
