Travis Scott is the stage name of Jacques Webster, an American hip-hop recording artist and producer. Scott has produced and co-produced tracks with Kanye West, Rihanna and Drake, and has appeared on tracks by Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, The Weeknd and Meek Mill among others. Since his 2012 mainstream arrival, Scott has attained platinum singles as an artist and producer, a pair of Top 5 albums and a 2017 Grammy® nomination for Album of the Year.

Scott grew up in a suburb of Houston and began making music as a teenager. After college, Scott moved to Los Angeles and began recording music on his own. He came in contact with T.I. and eventually with Kanye West. West hired Scott as an in-house producer for GOOD Music, and he appeared on the label's 2012 compilation Cruel Summer. Scott's debut album Owl Pharaoh (2013) featured guest appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz on the single "Upper Echelon" as well as Toro y Moi and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. The mixtape garnered a nomination for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.

The build-up to Scott's first studio album included hit singles "Don't Play" and "Mamacita," and the many other hits on his 2015 Rodeo Tour. Scott's first full-length album, Rodeo, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart followed by the release of Rihanna's Scott-produced hit single "B*tch Better Have My Money" later that year. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight followed in 2016, featuring the hit single "Antidote" that peaked at #16 on the Hot 100 and became Scott's first platinum single. The woozy, mostly mid-tempo album featured contributions from André 3000, Kid Cudi and Kendrick Lamar and went straight to the top of the Billboard 200.
