AMP Fest, now in its second year, is a beer, music and tech festival taking place at the Walmart AMP on Saturday, October 14 (4pm-9pm)! Organized by Walton Arts Center’s Corporate Leadership Council, this event is designed to raise awareness and to benefit Arts Education programming at Walton Arts Center.

AMP Fest will feature unlimited free samples of more than 60 local, regional and craft beers from more than 20 selected breweries as well as great musicians! Plus, there will be great food available to purchase.

Last year, attendees helped raise over $83,000 towards Arts Education programming! Help us reach our goal of $100,000 this year!

Music lineup and schedule:

Samsung Stage (Mainstage Lounge)

  • 4:30pm-5:30pm: Opal Agafia
  • 6pm-7:15pm: David Shaw and Zack Feinberg (of The Revivalists)
  • 7:45pm-9pm: John Paul White (formerly of the Civil Wars)

Walmart Stage (Backstage)

Technology & Food!

Technology companies include Samsung, PlayStation, Rockfish, Zebra, Promark, Merge Virtual Reality and Shine Solar. Attendees can explore a variety of interactive experiences such as virtual reality brewery tours, 360° camera photo booth, 3-D printing, PlayStation PS4 virtual reality games, 4RFID football toss, augmented reality with The Merge Cube, and Raspberry Pi, solar panel and drone demonstrations.

Football fans can enjoy tech activations and craft beer while they watch the Arkansas Razorbacks, and other televised NCAA football teams, in real-time in the Cox Football Lounge.

Food vendors are The Purple Banana – specializing in fried tacos and elevated food, IDK Café – best known for their farm-to-table and delicious sandwiches, Hickory Hollow Smokehouse – one of the last remaining “pit” smokers featuring years-old vetted competition rub and award-winning sauces, and Smokin’ Hawg – serving all kinds of smoked meats including wild hogs, Angus Burgers flame-kissed on open fire, marinade/drunk chicken breast and beer au jus brats.

  • One of the last remaining “pit” smokers – from specially selected Hickory Hard Woods to years old vetted competition rub and award winning sauces.

Smokin’ Hawg

  • From bonfires to weddings serving all kinds of smoked meats including wild hogs. Will be serving Handmade Angus Burgers flame kissed on open fire with trimmings. Also, serving marinade/drunk chicken breast and brats regular or from a beer au jus.

Arts Education at the Walton Arts Center strives to…

  • Provide every NWA child access to arts learning at Walton Arts Center, reaching more than half a million students and teachers over the past 25 years through a variety of programming, including the Colgate Classroom Series.
  • Strengthen school learning communities through arts integration teacher training through the SmART Residency Program, Arts with Education Institute and teacher workshops.
  • Share model education programs with the state and national education community, including live performances in the Arkansas History through the Arts Program tailored to meet Common Core State Standards.
  • Deepen NWA’s engagement in the arts, believing art forms like dance, music and theater help students engage and explore the world.
  • Served more than 45,000 teachers and students last season.
